GROUTSPLICE
Grout-Filled Coupler
Purpose-built for precast and modular construction

About GROUTSPLICE
GROUTSPLICE is Bosa's grout-filled mechanical coupler, purpose-engineered for precast concrete connections and Modular Integrated Construction (MIC) applications. The coupler features a larger-bore sleeve with dedicated inlet and outlet grout ports, allowing high-strength non-shrink grout to be pumped through the annular space between the rebar and the coupler sleeve. Grout overflow from the outlet port provides visual confirmation of complete fill — a critical quality assurance feature for precast connections that cannot be inspected after assembly. With nearly 60 years of grout-splice heritage in the global construction industry, GROUTSPLICE brings proven technology to Hong Kong's rapidly growing precast and MIC sector, and is now being introduced to Australia, the US, and Southeast Asia.

Where to Use GROUTSPLICE
Precast Column-to-Foundation Connections
Primary application: connecting precast columns to cast-in-situ foundations using grouted sleeve connections.
Modular Integrated Construction (MIC)
Module-to-module and module-to-foundation connections in Hong Kong's growing MIC sector.
Precast Wall Panel Connections
Vertical and horizontal connections between precast wall panels in residential and commercial buildings.
Precast Beam-Column Joints
Connecting precast beams to columns where grouted sleeve connections provide the required ductility and tolerance.
Installation Procedure
Coupler Cast-In
GROUTSPLICE coupler is cast into the precast element during factory production. One bar is pre-threaded or pre-inserted.
Element Positioning
Position the precast element so the projecting rebar from the adjoining element enters the GROUTSPLICE sleeve.
Alignment Check
Verify the rebar is centred within the coupler sleeve and the element is plumb/level. Minimum embedment depth must be achieved.
Grout Injection
Pump high-strength non-shrink grout through the inlet port using a grout pump. Continue until grout flows freely from the outlet port.
Visual Confirmation
Grout overflow from the outlet port confirms complete fill of the annular space. Cap both ports and allow grout to cure per manufacturer specifications.

GROUTSPLICE Advantages
Visual QA
Grout overflow from the outlet port provides instant, visual confirmation of complete fill — critical for hidden connections.
Tolerance Friendly
Larger bore sleeve accommodates construction tolerances inherent in precast element positioning.
No Bar Threading
Rebar is inserted directly into the sleeve — no CNC threading required on the projecting bar.
Proven Heritage
Nearly 60 years of grout-splice technology worldwide. Now serving Hong Kong's precast and MIC boom.
